Pinoy ako!!!

What I admire most about Americans is how much they show their love for their country. You can see it in almost everything they do, How many times have we seen movies that display their loyalty to their flag to their nation. 9/11 showed the world how one tragedy can unite a nation. No matter how big the adversity is. They stood proud and faced the challenge. You can feel how much they honor their nation everytime they sing their national anthem? Have you heard Jason Mraz's rendition of it on the opening ceremonies of Game 2 of the NBA finals? How about Anita Baker's? (Game 3) The crowd stood tall, you'll feel the soul within the song...

Today as we celebrate our Independence day, I'd like to do the same, I want to tell the world how proud of my country I am, no matter how the world seems to look down on us, I still believe that one day, as we've already done in the past, we would leave a mark of greatness in this world. I am a Filipino! and I am proud to be one.

This is one great song about us, take pride in our flag, in our roots.

[I wish our artists would follow Bamboo's step in making a nice song that speaks of us Filipinos with pride and love of our country...]

For all of us Filipinos, Mabuhay!!!

Noypi
Bamboo

Tingnan mo ang iyong palad
Kalyado mong kamay
sa hirap ng buhay
Ang dami mong problema
Nakuha mo pang ngumiti
Noypi ka nga

Astig!

Bridge:

Saan ka man naroroon
huwag kang matatakot
Sa baril o patalim
Sa bukas na madilim

Hoy!
Pinoy ako
Buo aking loob
May agimat ang dugo ko!
Hoy!
Oh, Pinoy ako
May agimat ang dugo ko...

Sinisid ko ang dagat
Nilibot ko'ng mundo
Nasa puso ko pala
Hinahanap kong gulo
Ilang beses na akong
muntikang mamatay
Oh alam ko'ng sikreto
kaya nandito pa't buhay

Bridge 2

Oh, sabi nila
May anting-anting ako
Pero di nila alam
Na Diyos ang dahilan ko

Dinig mo ba ang bulong
ng lahi mo?
Isigaw mo, kapatid,
ang hinihinga natin
