Jobsearch 1001

About two weeks ago, I went to this call center in Ortigas, somewhere along Emerald Avenue, and I took a shot in applying for an HR position, The HR manager politely informed me that the position has already been filled and the only job he can offer me was a CSR position, and I said " I went to this other call center and the HR oficer who interviewed me told me that I can't be considered for an HR position because I lack experience aside from the fact that I'm not a Psychology graduate, and I've been thinking if I settle for another CSR position how am I gonna get the experience that I need?" He smiled and said "Once you get in ( meaning If I can qualify for CSR) , I'm gonna try to absorb you in the HR department, what do you think?" I said "Fair enough"
So I took their exam and passed, and they told us to report the next day for our final interview.

The day after, I received a message from him (The HR manager) which said:

"Hi u have
interview
tonight dont
forget it k! Do u
like to go out lets
have fun this is
- - - - hr tele----

My mom and I had a fight about going to that interview so I just weaved an alibi and asked for a reschedule to which he replied:

"Ok no problem
labas tayo ha
dito ka tulog sa

house k

What the f*ck?!?! I freaked out, Newsflash! This HR manager I'm talking about is a member of the male species. In short, he's a man in all its likelihood...
and he's gay! I should've known.

Anyway, I didn't send a reply anymore, but in some ways I even thought I over reacted, like maybe he was just bein' friendly so I just ignored his message and went on with my jobsearch.

I thought I'd never hear from him again until yesterday.

His message was:

"Hi we have 1slot
for recruitment
assistant like 2
aply text me wil
sched u 4
interview k _ _ _ _
tele- - - -

I got excited, now there's a slot for the position that I want so I immediately replied and asked for an interview this week, But when I got his reply, my excitement quickly turned into astonishment:

Ok sched u but
slip ka house ko
ha! Ok ba? Deal!

and he followed it with: " So are you game?"

I got really pissed off but I was hoping I could talk some sense on him, maybe there was still decency left in him so I told him that if we could just do things the right way like 2 professional people I'd be up for the interview, I told him to just look on my credentials and maybe he'll see that I'm fit for the job to which he replied:

"Ok pero kung
dito ka tulog eh

90 percent ikaw
kunin ko
"

That was it, end of conversation.

Freaky, scary, gross. All in its superlative degree. That's how it felt.

Mr. HR manager, back in the interview, when I said that I'm dying for an HR post, it was a figure of speech dumbass! it means that I'll give my best and that I'll work my ass off, I didn't say I'll give my body for it and that you can work on my ass!

I'm desperate for a job all right, but that is not my idea of getting one.

The harsh realities of life are clearly coming to me now, Some people would unconscientiously take advantage over a person's misfortunes. I mean it's unfortunate enough that I'm a bum for 2 years, but to take a shot on my dignity is another thing.

This is so uncharacteristic of a professional, to think that he's a manager who's supposed to be a man of integrity, and who's supposed to look into people and seek for the same good traits.

So there goes my futile search for a job. I'd like to ask you fellow bloggers for your thoughts about this, I'm planning on doing some thing about this, I mean who knows if I'm the only one? I could use your comments on this...

There's one good thing about this though,

I just realized, "May dating pala ako" :)
